SUPER JUNIOR (OT9) PLASTIC SURGERY ANALYSIS

Hello everyone, today I will be analyzing the possible plastic surgery procedures of the current active members of Super Junior. This was requested in the comments section of my K-Actors plastic surgery analysis video. I'm personally not too familiar with the group, so please excuse possible mistakes I may have made. Celebrities have immense pressure to look the best as they possibly can, which can be helped by plastic surgery. I think it will be a healthier environment if celebrities (not just K-pop celebrities) are more open about the plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures they’ve done or at least not lie about it so the general public can see that beauty is attainable through plastic surgery.

DISCLAIMERS: I’m not a plastic surgeon nor have I gotten plastic surgery, so my knowledge in this area is limited (my knowledge mostly comes from Youtube really). These are just my personal opinions and not facts so you can respectfully disagree. This post is not meant for fuel to send hate to the members as they are probably pressured by the industry they’re in to look as good as they possible can. Pre-debut photos of K-pop idols are usually unclear, so my judgement can be completely wrong. With that out of the way, I’ll start with my analysis.

LEETEUK

Looking at Leeteuk, it's hard to believe that he is turning 40. His skin looks really smooth and wrinkle-free which is not normal for someone his age. I suspect that he gets botox to the usual areas that develop wrinkles such as the forehead and eye area. This is also probably supported by keeping a healthy lifestyle and good skincare and treatments and also good genetics. When comparing his face to the pre-debut photos, the most obvious change is his nose. His nose used to be larger compared to how it looks like now, he likely got a nose implant to make his nose bridge taller and slimmer while also getting a tip correction to make his nose tip to be a lot smaller. His lips got thinner which is a normal part of the ageing process. This was likely paired with alar base reduction to make his overall nose smaller. He also may have gotten a chin implant to make his chin slightly more prominent, though this can possibly be due to puberty. In the past, he has denied ever getting plastic surgery, so remember this is just my opinion.

In conclusion, I think Leeteuk likely gets regular botox injection to get rid of wrinkles and he likely got a rhinoplasty with tip correction and alar base reduction and possibly got a chin implant.

HEECHUL

Heechul's appearance has changed quite a lot throughout the years. He naturally has nice features. The biggest change to his face is his eyes. He used to have smaller monolid eyes while he has pretty prominent double eyelids. His left eyelid used to be larger compared to the right, while his eyelids are even now. This was likely caused by double eyelid surgery. I think the possible procedure was really well done and enhanced his looks nicely. He is also turning 40 soon but his forehead is still really smooth and wrinkle free, he likely gets botox to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Heechul has admitted that he got a rhinoplasty because he broke his nose. We can see that his nose didn't change too much, the procedure was done prioritizing functionality than aesthetics.

In conclusion, I think Heechul likely got double eyelid surgery and regular botox injections to reduce wrinkles. He has also admitted to getting a rhinoplasty. It's nice to see celebrities openly talking about plastic surgery they have gotten.

YESUNG

Yesung didn't look to have changed much since childhood. He naturally has soft features. The only change I see to his face is his nose. His nose looks higher now, this was likely caused by a nose implant. From the side profile view, we can see that his nose looks over-projected for the proportions of his face, his nose bridge is also perfectly straight, and his nose is quite upturned. These are usually signs of nose implant. Yesung is also close to his 40s but his skin still looks smooth and wrinkle free, he likely gets regular botox injections to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

In conclusion, I think Yesung likely got a rhinoplasty and regular botox injections to reduce wrinkles. It seems like he is the type to gain and lose fat on the face when his weight changes, which can make people speculate that he got plastic surgery when his weight changes.

SHINDONG

Shindong's weight has fluctuated throughout his career which can cause changes to his appearance. The biggest change I see to his face is his eyes. His eyes are larger vertically and has clear double eyelids now. Shindong himself has admitted to getting double eyelid surgery. Shindong also likely gets regular botox injections to reduce wrinkles. We can see that when he furrows his brows, there is no wrinkles on his forehead.

In conclusion, I think Shindong likely gets regular botox injection to reduce wrinkles. He has also admitted to getting double eyelid surgery. It's nice to see multiple members admit to getting plastic surgery.

EUNHYUK

Eunhyuk didn't seem to have change much from his pre-debut photos. He has always had a nice big smile. I personally do not see changes to his face that are likely due to plastic surgery. Eunhyuk has mentioned that he wanted to get double eyelid surgery but was prevented from doing so by his company as the procedure will make him have to get more surgeries to keep a cohesive look to his face. This is why it's important for people who want to get plastic surgery to remember that not all procedures will suit their face and all plastic surgery should be done not based on what is trending at the moment. Given his age, he may also have started getting botox to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. 

Pre-debut Eunhyuk vs. Recent Eunhyuk

In conclusion, I think Eunhyuk likely gets regular botox injections to reduce wrinkles. He looks great and I'm glad the company prevented him from getting double eyelid surgery as his eyes suit his face really well.

SIWON

Siwon has always been handsome since childhood. He has always had a tall, well-defined nose and upturned lip corners. The changes to his face look like they were mostly caused by the natural ageing process. The biggest change I see to his face are his eyes. The distance between his eyes and eyebrows was farther apart in the pre-debut photos compared to now. We can also see that his eyelids used to be undefined and shallow while they are really defined now. These changes are likely caused by double eyelid surgery, he likely got the non-incisional method as the results are really natural. We can see that he has developed some wrinkles on his forehead and crow's feet in some photos, but not in others. It is likely that he gets botox injections and fillers to his cheeks sometimes to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

In conclusion, I think Siwon likely got suture double eyelid surgery and gets botox injections and fillers sometimes to reduce wrinkles. I personally prefer seeing him without the possible botox and fillers, I believe celebrities shouldn't be afraid of ageing and should just embrace it as no one can truly reverse ageing and the attempt might make their appearance look unnatural. Siwon has always been good looking and is truly blessed with good looks.

DONGHAE

Donghae has always been handsome since childhood. He didn't seem to change much at all outside the natural ageing process. Given his age, he likely has gotten regular botox injections to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Other than that, I don't see changes to his face that are likely due to cosmetic procedures.

In conclusion, I think Donghae likely gets regular botox injections to reduce wrinkles. He has always been really good looking. He's truly blessed with good looks.

RYEOWOOK

Ryeowook lost a lot of weight before debuting, which was likely the biggest contributor to the changes to his face. The weight loss brings out his naturally nice cheekbones and jaw structure. I personally do not see many changes to his face outside of the natural ageing process. His skin looks really smooth and wrinkle-free. He likely has gotten regular botox injections to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. This is also likely helped by maintaining a healthy lifestyle, good skincare and treatments and good genetics.

In conclusion, I think Ryeowook likely gets regular botox injections to reduce wrinkles. He has always looked great. He's truly blessed with good looks.

KYUHYUN

Kyuhyun is another member in the group that has admitted to getting plastic surgery. He admitted that he got double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction and revealed that it was also partially for functional purposes so he can open his eyes wider. People tend to forget that plastic surgery can be done for functional and medical purposes and associate people who plastic surgery to be really vain when it is not always the case. Kyuhyun has denied getting a rhinoplasty, though I personally think he has gotten the procedure. He always had a tall nose that is on the larger and wider side. I think he got a nose implant to make his nose more projected and smaller. I personally think the nose implant wasn't necessary, he could have just gotten a rhinoplasty to slim down his nose as his current nose looks over projected for the proportions of his face in my opinion. His skin looks really smooth and wrinkle-free. He likely has gotten regular botox injections to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

In conclusion, I think Kyuhyun likely got a rhinoplasty and regular botox injections to reduce wrinkles. He has also admitted to getting double eyelid surgery with ptosis repair. Super Junior is the group that is most open about plastic surgery out of the celebrities I've analyzed so far, so good on them.

I hope anyone reading this takes this post in a positive way as my intention is not to shame the members for getting plastic surgery. We need to understand that K-pop idols and other celebrities have a lot of pressure to look good and it's not a bad thing for them to resort to plastic surgery as it is what is demanded by society.
