ONEUS TITLE TRACK RANKING
Since Oneus got four music show wins with their latest comeback "Same Scent", I want to rank their title tracks as they have one of my favorite discographies in K-pop. I'm so glad that they are finally getting the recognition they deserve. I will not be including their pre-release singles and will only be including their title tracks in this ranking. Their pre-release singles are really good too by the way, check them out if you haven't already. They are such a versatile group, trying out different sounds and concepts with each comeback and executing all of them so well. It was really hard to rank their title tracks because they're all so good.
These are just my subjective opinions so you can respectfully disagree. I don’t have background knowledge in music, I am just someone who enjoys music and doing this just for fun. I also didn’t take into account the lyrics in the songs as I am someone who can enjoy music without knowing the meaning of the songs and I don’t understand Korean. Without further ado, I will start ranking Oneus title tracks.
11. Bring It On
It's my least favorite title track as I don't like Leedo's intro rap too much. I was probably also slightly disappointed since this song was released after an insanely good title track. By no means this is a bad song though, I just had higher expectations for Oneus. I love Leedo's energy this comeback and how we got a Seoho rap part though.
10. Black Mirror
Again, by no means a bad song, I just prefer their other songs as I don't usually listen to this genre. I love the fun retro concept and the insane knee-breaking choreo in the final chorus. The song is really catchy and easy to listen to.
9. To Be or Not To Be
I love Leedo's vocals in the pre-chorus, I was surprised to hear him sing this much. Of course, Seoho and Keonhee's vocals are amazing as always. It's a really nice emo song lol. I love the guitars in the post chorus.
7. Twilight
I love the guitars in this song. I love how Hwanwoong got a small rap part here. The song does tend to get boring to me if I repeat it too much. It feels slightly empty to me. I still really like the song though.
7. No Diggity
I was shocked to see Oneus do this concept. They pulled it off so well. I love the intense verses and Seoho's beautiful vocals in the pre-chorus. I don't usually like noisy choruses, but it was done really well for this song.
6. Same Scent
It's a really catchy and easy to listen to song. It's similar to "A Song Written Easily" just with a different vibe. I personally prefer the other song as this song felt less satisfying to me somehow. I really like Ravn's rap part. I love seeing Oneus trying a sexy concept, they pulled it off really well. I'm so happy they got so many music show wins with this song though. Finally, people have been awoken by the work of art that is Oneus.
5. Lit
I can't believe they did this on their second comeback. I love how they incorporated traditional Korean instruments. Such a good hype song
4. A Song Written Easily
I love the chill melancholy vibes this song has. I love the melody of the synths in the chorus. The pre-chorus goes really well to build up to the chorus. The vocals are really nice in this song. A great underrated comeback.
3. 808
I feel like not many people know this song and it's a shame because it's really good. This is a Japanese release and of course it doesn't disappoint, so check it out if you haven't done so. The instrumentals and vocals are really nice and satisfying.
2. Valkyrie
This is one of the best debuts in K-pop, I don't make the rules. Such a catchy song with a memorable choreo. I fell in love with Oneus through this song. I don't know why I like this song so much; I just do. I still like it after 3 years, it's just that good.
1. LUNA
Such a beautiful song, I love how they incorporated traditional Korean instruments, it was really well done. The vocals are so beautiful, I love how Xion actually got decent line distribution this comeback. I love everything about this comeback. There's a reason why they got their first music show win with it, this comeback was perfection.
