EXID PLASTIC SURGERY ANALYSIS

Hello everyone, this is my fifth post in my analyzing K-pop Idols' possible plastic surgery procedures. EXID was my ult K-pop girl group before they went on hiatus (I miss them so much, I still listen to Every Night and their other songs regularly). I hope we can get a reunion soon, for now I will be supporting their solo activities. I think plastic surgery is neither bad nor good. Celebrities have immense pressure to look the best as they possibly can, which can be helped by plastic surgery. I think it will be a healthier environment if celebrities (not just K-pop celebrities) are more open about the plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures they’ve done or at least not lie about it  so the general public can see that beauty is attainable through plastic surgery.

DISCLAIMERS: I’m not a plastic surgeon nor have I gotten plastic surgery, so my knowledge in this area is limited (my knowledge mostly comes from Youtube really). These are just my personal opinions and not facts so you can respectfully disagree. This post is not meant for fuel to send hate to the members as they are probably pressured by the industry they’re in to look as good as they possible can. Predebut photos of K-pop idols are usually unclear, so my judgement can be completely wrong. With that out of the way, I’ll start with my analysis.

SOLJI

I couldn't find predebut photos of Solji before her debut in 2NB, at that point she might've already gotten plastic surgery so there may be possible procedures that I missed. She looks adorable with short hair. She had to take a two year hiatus due to hyperthyroidism, this condition can change a person's appearance (such as having puffy eyes and face) so I will take that into account. She used to have a puffier face in 2015-2016, I think that was due to her condition as her face during 2NB was not as puffy as they were during 2015-2016. 

2NB Solji vs. 2016 Solji

I personally think that she got a rhinoplasty before debuting in 2NB as her nose has distinct straight lines on the bridge, which doesn't usually occur in nature. I'm not sure about this though as I have no proof. I also think she may have gotten double eyelid surgery before debuting in 2NB, I have no proof of this either, I came to this conclusion purely because of her brother not having double eyelids. I see that her current nose looks different to her nose when she was still 2NB, the nose is taller and slimmer now. She likely got a rhinoplasty when she is already promoting in EXID. Her eyes look to be different, but I think this was due to the orbital decompression surgery she did because of her condition. 

2NB Solji vs. 2020 Solji

Her jawline also seem to fluctuate in size a lot in recent times, in the recent photo below, we can see that her jawline is a lot smaller and sharper. Since I see fluctuation in the size of her jawline, I think she got botox injections to her jawline to make it smaller. I also see some fluctuation to her chin, so I speculate she got some sort of filler to make her chin pointier.

Recent Solji

In conclusion, Solji is confirmed to have had orbital decompression due to her health condition. For my speculations, I think she got rhinoplasties, regular botox injection to her jaw muscle and some sort of filler/implant to her chin. It's also possible that she got a rhinoplasty and double eyelid surgery before debuting in 2NB. Solji recently had a comeback with Fade Away, let's support her comeback! She is one of my favorite main vocalist in K-pop. I really love her outgoing personality and her loud infectious laugh.

L.E

I couldn't find clear predebut photos of L.E either. Without looking at predebut photos, I speculate that L.E has gotten double eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty. There is a clear and consistent line on her crease when she is not opening her eyes fully or when she's looking down

2015 L.E

I speculate that L.E got rhinoplasty because her nose appears to be thin and overprojected when compared to her face. Her face appear fuller as she progresses in her career, this is likely due to weight gain. Other than that, I don't see other changes to her face.

Predebut L.E vs. 2018 L.E

In conclusion, I think L.E got double eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty before debuting in EXID. She is such a talented producer and song writer, EXID has one of my favorite discographies in K-pop. L.E is currently the music producer of a group called TRI.BE, let's support the group! She is also one of my favorite rappers in K-pop. 

HANI

Hani has a lot of cute childhood photos. She has always been pretty. I think the most obvious change to her face is her chin. Her chin is slightly sharper now compared to her predebut photos. I think her eyes are natural. I'm a bit unsure of her nose, as there is a distinct line on the bridge of her nose now. Though her nose look to be the same size and shape. I think it's a possibility that she got her nose tip shaved down slightly so it's slimmer. Her cheeks became a lot slimmer because she lost a lot of weight in EXID.

Predebut Hani vs. 2020 Hani

In conclusion, I think Hani got a chin implant and rhinoplasty. Hani claimed in 2016 that she didn't get any plastic surgery, so these are just my speculations. She looks gorgeous both predebut and now. I think she's a great actress, I thoroughly enjoyed her acting so far. I miss seeing her funny personality on variety shows though.

HYELIN

Hyelin has some of her high school photos available online. The biggest change I see to her face are her eyes. She used to have monolids, not she has big double eyelids and her eyes open wider vertically. She has always had wide set eyes though. Another clear change to her face are her lips, she likely got fillers to her upper and lower lips to make them fuller. I'm unsure of her nose, as from the front view it looks to have remained the same. Her cheeks got smaller because she lost a lot of weight in EXID.

Predebut Hyelin vs. 2020 Hyelin

In conclusion, I think Hyelin got double eyelid surgery with ptosis repair and fillers to her top and bottom lip. There is also a possibility that she got subtle rhinoplasty. In the past, Hyelin have also claimed to have not gotten plastic surgery, so these are just my speculations. I love her extra personality, she should be invited to more variety shows.

JEONGHWA

Jeonghwa used to be a child actor, so we have a lot of predebut photos of her. She has always been adorable and I find her childhood photos to be very recognizable. I don't see many changes to her face. I do see that her chin is currently pointier, she likely got a chin implant to achieve this look. Her cheeks also became slimmer, but this can be just due to losing baby fat. Her nose also looks slightly taller, but this can be just due to makeup, it's also possible she got subtle nose implants.

Predebut Jeonghwa vs. 2020 Jeonghwa

In conclusion, I think Jeonghwa got a chin implant. There is also a possibility that she got a subtle rhinoplasty and some of her buccal fat removed. She was truly blessed with amazing looks. She has such an adorable outgoing personality, I love seeing her get teased by the members especially L.E. She has been active as an actress, so let's support the dramas she's in.

I hope anyone reading this takes this post in a positive way as my intention is not to shame the members for getting plastic surgery. We need to understand that K-pop idols and other celebrities have a lot of pressure to look good and it's not a bad thing for them to resort to plastic surgery as it is what is demanded by society. I really miss EXID together, I'm patiently waiting for their comeback one day. But for now, let's support them in their solo activities.
