SF9 PLASTIC SURGERY ANALYSIS

Hello everyone, this is my eleventh post in my analyzing K-pop Idols' possible plastic surgery procedures. I got into SF9 because of their participation on Kingdom, so I'm a pretty new fan. This might sound silly, but I got into SF9 because I thought Taeyang and Hwiyoung are out of this world beautiful. When I got to know more about the group I found all the members to also be good looking and very talented and they also have really good music. I think all of the members are actors at this point, this is very interesting because the members have a lot of solo activities even from when they are still a pretty group. I think plastic surgery is neither bad nor good. Celebrities have immense pressure to look the best as they possibly can, which can be helped by plastic surgery. I think it will be a healthier environment if celebrities (not just K-pop celebrities) are more open about the plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures they’ve done or at least not lie about it so the general public can see that beauty is attainable through plastic surgery.

DISCLAIMERS: I’m not a plastic surgeon nor have I gotten plastic surgery, so my knowledge in this area is limited (my knowledge mostly comes from Youtube really). These are just my personal opinions and not facts so you can respectfully disagree. This post is not meant for fuel to send hate to the members as they are probably pressured by the industry they’re in to look as good as they possible can. Pre-debut photos of K-pop idols are usually unclear, so my judgement can be completely wrong. With that out of the way, I’ll start with my analysis.

INSEONG

Inseong has a lot of pre-debut content, he has always been very handsome. I was shocked to find out that he is the oldest member as to me he looks very young for his age. The most obvious change to his face is his nose, his nose is currently taller and the tip of his nose in longer compared to how it was during pre-debut. Sometimes we can see a shape resembling an implant on his nose. The change is not too obvious, I think this possible procedure was really well done, his nose still looks recognizable. Other than that, I don't see other changes to his face.

In conclusion, I think Inseong got a rhinoplasty. He has always been gorgeous, I think he will retain his baby face for a long time. He is such a powerful main vocalist. He recently just enlisted in the military, I hope he can stay safe and healthy. Fantasy's are waiting patiently for his return.

YOUNGBIN

Youngbin doesn't have as much pre-debut photos online, so I might miss some procedures. The only change I see to his face is his nose, his current nose is taller and slimmer than how it was during pre-debut. Other than that, I don't see other changes to his face, I also don't think there's a visible sign of other possible plastic surgery on his face.

In conclusion, I think Youngbin got a rhinoplasty. He looks amazing now and before debut. I love his laugh, I have the same problem with him where I laugh at everything. Like Inseong, he also recently enlisted in the military, I hope he can stay healthy and safe. Fantasy's are also patiently waiting for his return.

JAEYOON

Jaeyoon also doesn't have many pre-debut photos online, he has always been handsome. Without looking at his pre-debut photos, I suspected that he got a rhinoplasty as his nose looks to be too thin for the proportions of his face. After looking at his pre-debut photos, I became more confident of my speculation. We can see that the bridge of his nose is currently slightly crooked, while his nose bridge in the pre-debut photo doesn't looks crooked. Other than that, I don't see other changes to his face and I don't see other possible signs of plastic surgery on his face.

In conclusion, I think Jaeyoon got a rhinoplasty. He has always been handsome, I personally think the possible rhinoplasty wasn't necessary as his original nose fit his face very well and his current nose looks too thin for his face. I was surprised to see how good his body is, I am always impressed by idols who work hard to maintain their figure. Jaeyoon is such a funny guy, he has made me laugh out loud multiple times.

DAWON

Dawon has a lot of adorable pre-debut photos, it looks like he lost quite a lot of weight. I don't see many changes to his face, the most obvious change is his nose. His nose looks more projected now and the nose tip look to be less droopy compared to how it was during pre-debut.

In conclusion, I think Dawon got a rhinoplasty with a nose lift. He has always been good looking, he had always looked to be a funny guy even during pre-debut. I really admire his efforts to maintain his body. I feel like Dawon has been a lot more quiet recently, I hope he is doing well and can go back to his cheerful self.

ZUHO

Zuho has a lot of adorable pre-debut photos online, he has always had a tall and long nose and an incredible bone structure. I personally don't see changes to his face that are likely due to plastic surgery, I believe he is natural.

In conclusion, I think Zuho is likely natural. He has always been handsome. I was shocked to find out how adorable and outgoing he is, I think it's a contrast with his cold and serious appearance. I love his low tone rap, I think he is such a good rapper. I also love his song Champagne.

ROWOON

Rowoon has quite a lot of pre-debut content, he has always been handsome, I do see some changes to his eyes and nose. His eyes currently open wider vertically, I think he got ptosis repair to achieve this look. He also likely got a rhinoplasty as his nose looks to be too thin and we can clearly see straight lines on the sides of the bridge of his nose. This is usually a possible sign of rhinoplasty as straight lines don't usually occur in nature.

We can see that his nose bridge look to be taller compared to how it was during pre-debut, his eyes also now open wider vertically.

In conclusion, I think Rowoon got ptosis repair and a rhinoplasty. He has always been incredibly handsome. I personally think the possible rhinoplasty wasn't necessary as I think his current nose looks quite unnatural for his face, he's handsome regardless though. He's such a multi talented guy, he's a good vocalist and also a good actor. I'm happy with how successful Rowoon has been as an actor, he seems to be very booked and busy, I hope he can rest a little and celebrate his success.

TAEYANG

Taeyang, the man that made me get into SF9 because of his looks. He has quite a lot of pre-debut photos online, he has always had his amazing eyebrows and pretty eyes. I think many people speculate that he got something done to his upper eyelids, I also thought that way at first. But after examining more of his photos throughout the years, I'm not too sure about this. His eyelids have always looked to not be filled with too much fat, unlike most Koreans. The lack of fat on his upper eyelids may make it easier for him to train his eyelids using eyelid tape. His eyelid folds are also pretty inconsistent, this makes me tend to lean more towards his upper eyelids being natural. The distance between his eyes and eyebrows also seem to not have changed. Sometimes an upper blepharoplasty can cause the distance between the eyes and eyebrows to increase, while a double eyelid surgery can cause the distance between the eyes and eyebrows to decrease. This solidifies my belief that his upper eyelids are more likely to be natural. 

Pre-debut Taeyang vs. Recent Taeyang

We can see that Taeyang's nose have changed, his current nose looks to be more projected compared to how it looked like during pre-debut. We can also sometimes see a shape resembling a nose implant on his nose in some angles. His current nose tip also looks longer than how it did during pre-debut, an L-shape nose implant can cause this to happen. His jawline also seem to be more sculpted, I personally think this was due to puberty as his jawline got stronger gradually with age.

In conclusion, I think Taeyang got a rhinoplasty and there's a possibility that he got an upper blepharoplasty. He has always looked amazing. I got into SF9 because of his good looks and I learned that he is way more than just his looks. He is such a talented and hardworking person, he became such an amazing main dancer with great vocal abilities.

HWIYOUNG

The other man that made me get into SF9 because of his looks. Hwiyoung has a lot of adorable childhood photos, he has always been very handsome and didn't seem to change much. At first, I personally suspected that he got a rhinoplasty as he has clear lines on the side of his nose bridge, which is usually a possible sign of a rhinoplasty (either implant or when the nose cartilage is shaved down too much). After looking at his pre-debut photos, I become less certain of this, because his nose didn't seem to change too much.

I personally think Hwiyoung got a subtle rhinoplasty, his current nose looks to be more projected than how it was during his teen pre-debut years. I mostly believe he got a rhinoplasty just because of how his nose currently looks. In some photos, I can see a shape resembling an implant on his nose and his nose bridge in general is very straight, and perfectly straight lines are very unlikely to occur in nature. We can also see that his nose tip is slightly lower than the bridge, nose implants can make a nose look this way because there is more pressure on the bridge of the nose and there is not enough support on the nose tip. His eyelids are natural though because they are inconsistent in size and are shallow.

Recent Hwiyoung

In conclusion, I think Hwiyoung got a rhinoplasty even though I don't have solid evidence to believe it completely. He is such a good looking guy, I'm still in awe by his amazing looks. I love his adorable personality and his cute gummy smile.

CHANI

Chani used to be a child actor, so we have a lot of pre-debut content of him. He was such an adorable child, he has always had big bright eyes. I personally believe he is natural and the changes to his face are likely caused by the natural ageing process.

In conclusion, I think Chani is likely natural. He really grew up nicely, he was an adorable child and he grew up to be a very handsome guy. Despite being the youngest, he has the most experience in the entertainment industry. I hope he can get more lead roles in dramas like the other members. I love how he has a pretty snarky personality, it makes the group dynamic to be more interesting. He is not only a good actor, but also a good dancer and rapper.

I hope anyone reading this takes this post in a positive way as my intention is not to shame the members for getting plastic surgery. We need to understand that K-pop idols and other celebrities have a lot of pressure to look good and it's not a bad thing for them to resort to plastic surgery as it is what is demanded by society. I'm pretty sad that I got into SF9 so late as I only got a short time with OT9, I hope the members who are enlisting can stay safe and healthy. Let's support SF9's group and individual activities!
