RANKING EXID TITLE TRACKS

I suddenly miss EXID so much since it's going to be their 10 year anniversary this year. So, I want to rank their title tracks. L.E composes most of EXID's songs and she is currently the music producer of the group TRI.BE. She is such a talented songwriter and producer and rapper. I like the majority of EXID's title tracks so this is going to be challenging. I will be including their Japanese and Chinese title tracks too.

These are just my subjective opinions so you can respectfully disagree. I don’t have background knowledge in music, I am just someone who enjoys music and doing this just for fun. I also didn’t take into account the lyrics in the songs as I am someone who can enjoy music without knowing the meaning of the songs and I don’t understand Korean. Without further ado, I will start.

 16. B.L.E.S.S.E.D

This is not a bad song by any means. I like L.E's rap parts a lot. This song is just very different from the EXID I'm familiar with and I personally think they don't really suit this concept that's why I like this song the least out of all their title tracks.

15. Trouble

This is also not a bad song, I just find the song to be a bit too empty. I really like the concept of the music video though. I just think EXID has title tracks that are a lot better than this one.

14. Bad Girl for You

This song is very interesting, the second verse took me by surprise. I personally don't really enjoy the second half of the second verse, I found it too noisy and chaotic. But the rest of the song is pretty good.

13. Lady

This song is also pretty different from the usual EXID I'm familiar with. I like this song, but I do prefer the usual EXID sounds. I love L.E's rap parts and Hyelin's whistle note and Hyelin being able to show off her vocals more in general.

12. L.I.E

I love Solji's high notes in this song, she is such an amazing vocalist. I personally don't really like the post chorus of this song, I think the drop could've been better. I love L.E's rap and the pre-chorus a lot though. I also love that we got Jeonghwa solo dance in the final chorus.

11. Whoz that Girl

This song is so good, I think they had a very strong debut. It's just unfortunate they had some lineup changes. I'm really happy with their current lineup with Solji and Hyelin. I love the melody of this song and the strong vocals. I'm a bit iffy with the bridge, but I can get past it easily. It's very interesting to see how much K-pop fashion changed in 10 years.

10. Me and You

I really like this song, I just found the drop in the chorus to be underwhelming. I generally don't like empty choruses, so this is why I rank it this low. I think the verses and pre-chorus are amazing though. It was a shame that L.E got injured during this comeback though.

9. I Love You

I absolutely love Solji's voice is the chorus. They changed it up slightly in the second verse which keeps the song interesting, it was very well done. I rank it this low because I don't usually like empty drops like in the post chorus of this song. The drop is very catchy and I still really enjoy it though.

8. I Feel Good

This is the first ot5 music video we have so it holds a special place in my heart. It's a very catchy feel good song (see what I did there). The instrumentals in this song is very catchy. Solji's vocals is the highlight of this song for me. She really blew me away with her vocals.

7. Cream

This is such a addicting song. I love L.E's voice in the chorus and bridge. I love the instrumentals in this song too. I have no complaints really, I just find myself listening to their other title tracks more often.

6. Hot Pink

This song gets stuck in my head way too often. I love the instrumentals, I know I said I don't usually like empty choruses, but this one just hits different, I find it incredibly catchy. I love L.E's rap parts and Hyelin and Solji's vocals. Their vocals in the final chorus is just too good.

5. Up and Down

This song also has a special place in my heart because it was my first EXID song and it's the song that saved the members from disbandment. It's such a catchy song, I love everything about this song. The instrumentals, the vocals, the rap and the choreography are all phenomenal.

4. Night Rather Than Day

L.E said that his is her least favorite title tracks that she produced. I personally really like this song, I know it's pretty different from the usual EXID we know, but I think this song is really catchy and well done and I love the chill vibes this song has. This was their first comeback without Solji due to her health condition, that's the only negative part of this song to me.

3. Ah Yeah

I know many people have said this song sounds like Up and Down 2.0, which I agree with but I like this song more. Of course, EXID are gonna play it safe and release a song that is similar to what made them blow up. I think the switch up between Hani and L.E in the verses are really interesting. The vocals in the chorus sounds amazing. I also love the whispers in the final chorus. I also love the message of the music video.

2. DDD

I was really glad to hear Solji's voice in this comeback, she wasn't in the music video, but her health is definitely a lot more important so I was waiting patiently to see her promote again. I really love Hani's vocals in the verses. I know I said I'm usually not a fan of empty drops, but I feel like the drop in the post chorus of this song was earned after the build up with the vocals in the chorus. This song has a very catchy base line that tied everything together very well.

1. Every Night

I think Every Night is my favorite K-pop song of all time. That is how much I love Every Night. I can't believe they didn't blow up when they release Every Night. The instrumental sounds amazing and every component of this song complements each other very well. I love L.E's sing-rap parts and the vocals in this song are just phenomenal. Solji did a really great job as usual. I don't know what else to say because I just love this song so much.
